This is a great “meet and greet” opportunity for all neighbors in Sonoma to get to know each other!
Event Details
On behalf of the Sonoma HOA Social Committee, we invite all Sonoma residents to come out to the Pavilion and socialize with friends and neighbors over good food, fun games for all ages, live music, and great raffle prizes. Please sign up to bring your favorite appetizer, main course or dessert to share. The HOA will provide napkins, plates and disposable plastic dinnerware. Bring your own beverages and chairs. Together we can make connections and create a greater community.
Ways to Give Back This Holiday Season:
Additionally, this holiday season Sonoma is partnering with two organizations to spread cheer to those less fortunate—the Brevard Humane Society and Family Promise of Brevard.
Brevard Humane Society - Help bring joy to shelter animals for the holidays and all throughout the year. You can help by donating an item or two from the Wish List and bringing it with you to the Potluck Dinner. Sonoma will make sure the items are brought to the Brevard Humane Society or the Merritt Island Adoption Center.
Family Promise of Brevard – Last year Sonoma adopted a family through Family Promise of Brevard. This year they have asked us to participate in a different initiative, Gifts from the Heart, in which families are offered the opportunity to purchase holiday gifts for their children at an extremely reduced and affordable cost. Instead of watching while their children are given presents by others, parents are given a hand-up to purchase gifts on their own. You can help by donating toys via the Amazon and Target gift registries to stock the Holiday Shop to help provide at least three (3) new gifts each to the over 500 children served by the partner organizations. Click here for the Amazon gift registry and click here for the Target gift registry. If you prefer not to use the registry, you can bring a new toy to the Potluck. Please target all gifts for children ages 2-17 and please be aware that the 12-17 age group comprised 37% of toy need in 2017.
