The Studios of Cocoa Beach is again offering the popular Introduction to Stained Glass Class. Jamille Haddad will guide you through the entire process of creating a beautiful stained glass piece.
Event Details
The Class meets from 6 to 9 pm on three Wednesdays March 8, 15, and 22. The first week will focus on glass-cutting techniques, choosing your design and selecting colors. Week Two will involve cutting the glass for your project, and an introduction to copper foil techniques. During the 3rd Week, students will finish cutting and foiling their projects, and prepare for soldering.
Jamille Haddad has been designing and producing Stained Glass and Fused Glass Art in the Central Florida area for over 40 years. "My work is more spiritual than political and usually has themes based on my feelings of spirituality. I strive for beautiful craftsmanship while pushing the material to its limits and create Art to enhance our living and working environments"
Fee for the 3-session class is $150 plus an additional $75 material fee due the first day of class. All necessary equipment will be provided. Students should bring closed toe shoes, prescription or safety glasses, and have hair tied back. The Studios’ workshop room is behind the gallery at 159 Minutemen Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday 9 am to 7 pm and Sundays 10 am to 3 pm.
