Children's Creative Art Party

On Saturday, July 27,2019 from 10 am to 2 pm the Studios of Cocoa Beach is hosting a “Creative Art Party” for children entering grade 3 through the 8th grade. Maria Tomacari will guide you as you learn creative ways to use the treasures you have lurking in your junk drawer, found along the beach or under your bed! All those little items will find a new home as you create a dimensional work of art, suitable for display, that will have your friends and family asking, “How did you do that!”. A pizza party is included so no need to bring a lunch.

Ms. Maria is a freelance artist working in many mediums form cement to watercolors. Her work emphasizes the use of recycled materials creating sculptures, reliefs and mosiacs. She has a degree in Studios Arts from the University of Pittsburg plus an art teaching certificate from Carlow University. She has taught art for 20 years, the last six at Roosevelt Elemantary in Cocoa Beach.

Fee for the pARTy is $25 with online registration at www.studiosofocoabeach.org. Students should bring their collection of “junk” such as seashells, hardware, string, small toys, beads etc. Use your imaginationt!

The Studios is located at 165 Minuteman Causeway in the heart of downtown Cocoa Beach. The gallery displays the work of 30 local artists and offers a variety of classes. The gallery is open Monday 10:30 to 3:30. Closed Tuesday. Wednesday to Saturday 10:30 am to 8pm and Sunday 11 am to 4 pm.
