The Monthly meeting of the Space Coast Weavers & Fiber Artists includes a fun fiber swap this month
Event Details
The Space Coast Weavers & Fiber Artists will meet on Saturday May 28 at 9:30 am in the Merritt Island Public Library, 1195 N Courtenay Parkway. One of the highlights of these meetings is show and tell, when members share their latest projects. It is such a diverse group that you can expect to learn about weaving, spinning, felting, basketry, rug hooking, knitting, bookmaking and more.
All that creativity also creates leftovers. May is time for the popular Mystery Fiber Bag Trade when members fill a grab bag of “cool stuff” they didn’t use. The challenge is for the recipient to return in August with a completed project.
You are invited to join in the fun.
Since 1983 SCW&FA has been Brevard’s go to guild for the fiber arts. The guild helps fiber artists, beginning or advanced, learn through workshops and the informal exchange of ideas.
