The Junior League of South Brevard, Inc. (JLSB) has been a driving force in the South Brevard community since 1966. JLSB is a group of women dedicated to improving the health of children through nutrition and physical activity by means of trained volunteers, financial support, and community awareness and partnerships. Kids in the Kitchen is a way we can impact our community to improve the health of our children and is also a global initiative of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) that makes a local impact in a state that desperately needs guidance and support on healthy lifestyles. Childhood Obesity Is A Serious Medical Condition That Affects Over 25 Percent Of Brevard Children And Adolescents! The program is grounded in the belief that children and their families empowered with the knowledge of how to feed and exercise their bodies will be less likely to become obese and subsequently suffer many associated health risks
