Event Details
This was the first human spaceflight program of the United States from 1958-1963. The goal was to put a human in orbit around the Earth. The Mercury-Atlas 6 flight was the first Mercury flight to achieve this goal on February 20, 1962.

In order to add capacity to our half marathon, we have expanded the race site to include not only Cocoa Riverfront Park but the adjoining Lee Wenner Park. As a result, all races will now start at 6:00 am! In addition, we have added a half marathon course option for the 1st half of the marathon course (the north half marathon). Below is the tentative line-up:
Full Marathon – Start: 6:00 am
Capacity: 1,000 registrants
Course Time Limit: 7 hours
North Half Marathon – Start: 6:00 am
Capacity: 3,000 registrants
Faster than the speed of light: Under 3:30 expected finishing time
South Half Marathon – Start: 6:00 am
Capacity: 4,000 registrants
Pluto’s Orbit: No time requirement / 7 hour time limit
