Flamingo Paint Party

The Studios of Cocoa Beach is hosting a paint party on Friday, February 18, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Jaymee Weinreich will guide you as you create an 11 x 14 acrylic painting on canvas, “Flamingo on the River”

When thinking about Florida we visualize palm trees, beach,dolphins, manatees, alligators and, of course, flamingos! You can celebrate this beautiful bird as you learn to work with acrylic paints. No experience necessary. Let Jaymee show you how to blend colors to make the background, inspired by a photograph taken at sunset on the river. Can’t draw a flamingo? Jaymee will guide you step by step as you draw one on paper, then transfer your drawing onto the canvas. Finally, learn the techniques needed to paint the bird.

Weinreich has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Florida International University and has been a professional artist for over twenty-three years. She has experience teaching art and creating art in a number of mediums. She believes there is a creative urge in everyone and that everyone is an artist.
